Vesalius Ventures is named for Andreas Vesalius, a Belgian physician and anatomist who many believed founded modern medicine in 1543. The firm is located in Houston, Texas, which is widely known throughout the world as a leader in the medical industry. Houston, home to the world's largest medical center and the NASA-Johnson Space Center,   with its emerging life science technology generated from the space program.  All of these factors place Vesalius Ventures in a unique position to access emerging technologies at their source and bring exciting new opportunities to market.
