Ram Velidi, Ph.D.- Director

Ram Velidi is co-founder and partner of Dallas, Texas based Peroba Capital, a boutique investment and advisory in health/nutrition & energy businesses.  He has built an India based business that is involved in the distribution and manufacturing of US brands in India.  He serves on the boards of directors of Net.Orange, Vesalius Ventures and Ztar Mobile.

Most recently, he was as an investment partner over two fund cycles at Sevin Rosen Funds, a venture capital firm with $1.6 billion under management and investments in over 70 portfolio companies.  While at SRF, he led venture and growth equity investments in tech and tech enabled services and gained experience in investment strategy, transaction planning & execution and company and investment management.

Ram's operating background includes stints as CEO of venture backed wireless service provider, CynTrust;  senior business development manager at venture backed pioneer of mobile softswitch market, Xybridge (acq by Zhone) and product marketing roles at Nortel Networks and Texas Instruments.

Ram is a graduate of India's Bangalore University with a Bachelor of Engineering in Electronics and Communications. He holds a MS degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and a PhD in Electrical Engineering from Texas A&M at College Station.

He lives in Plano, Texas with his wife, Arathi and their two children, Shruthi and Smaran.
